The "Jews",African Americans,Asians,Hispanic as well as other races know where they came from.However when it comes to the white Caucasian peoples of the world there is such a confusion.Many Caucasian families continue to tell their members of their "Irish" "Germanic" "European" heritage.Beyond that point,all seems lost.This study has been done on a very basic level to hopefully help Caucasians to learn of their inheritance.It would be foolish to think that God has not mentioned one of the largest race(s) down through history in the bible.Again this is a very basic overview.
At the time when King David was King over the whole house of Israel, he was moved to number the people.2 Samuel 24:9 And Joab gave up the sum of the number of the people unto the king: and there were in Israel eight hundred thousand valiant men that drew the sword; and the men of Judah were five hundred thousand men. But Levi and Benjamin counted he not among them: for the king's word was abominable to Joab. And God was displeased with this thing; therefore he smote Israel.1 Chronicles 21v6-7. This number did not include the women,children,elderly Levi or Benjamin.
As time would pass,Solomon, David's son fell into idolatry and soon after the 12 tribes split into a Northern 10 tribes confederation. The remaining 2 tribes Judah and Benjamin continued together in Jerusalem divided from their kinsmen Northern family in a governmental sense.
The 10 tribed confederation would eventually be invaded and deported out of Israel by the Assyrians.This consequence was not heeded by Judah and eventually the King of Babylon would come and do the same unto them.
After the Babylonian captivity,the Persians at the word of King Cyrus allowed whom so ever to return back to Jerusalem.Ezra and Nehemiah would lead those who wished to return.Those returning In contrast, The whole congregation together was forty and two thousand three hundred and threescore (42,360) (Ezra 2:64.)
Only a small group actually returned.So the Question is,where did the rest of the Tribe of Judah go? This is the question the Jews asked Christ, Whither will he go, that we shall not find him? will he go unto the dispersed among the Gentiles, and teach the Gentiles?(John 7:35)
James the brother of Christ would address the "Dispersed" in his letter. James, a servant of God and of the Lord Jesus Christ, to the twelve tribes which are scattered abroad, greeting.(James 1:1)
In the Covenant with Abraham God stated That in blessing I will bless thee, and in multiplying I will multiply thy seed as the stars of the heaven, and as the sand which is upon the sea shore; and thy seed shall possess the gate of his enemies;(Genesis 22:17)
Some say that the inhabitants of modern day Israeli are God's chosen people.However The worldwide Jewish population is approx 13.3 million Jews.Certainly the Jewish population doesn't equate to the sands of the sea shore.There are many thumbprints that identify the people of Israel. At best some "Jews" ( a small remnant in part) make up one tribe "Judah".Many bible believing Christians are familiar with this history, However that is the stopping point for most.
Jacob did not just have one son "Judah-Jews", in fact there where 12 sons altogether.All brothers by different mothers each having various characteristics and birthright blessings.Just as the "Jews" have migrated from country to country,the other tribes have Migrated from country from country as well.Ironically the "Jewish" people have maintained their origins.
After the Assyrian and Babylonian captivities, the sons of Jacob traveled away and became known as Celts,Saxons(Isaac's sons) Gauls,Cimmerans and so forth as history has classified them.Eventually they would migrate to Spain,Britain,Ireland,Germany,Holland,and many other places.
America has been known as the "melting pot".Our Ancestors made the journey at America's early beginnings to start a new life for Freedom and Promise.Many Anglo Saxon peoples are beginning to understand their Inheritance in the Bible.Many clues have been given in Scripture speaking strictly to the House of Judah and to the House of Israel.
Understanding this Christian teaching will allow the bible believer to begin to claim their Biblical Inheritance, knowing that they have a part to play.
