I've finally made it here.  Grin

It does help when you have the right url address  :Smiley Grin

I've been waiting some time for Karen to get this place up and running,
and it's great to be the first one to join, after her Don, that is.

I'm looking forward to helping get this place started and contributing to
it's success.  Grin

I was just about to delete my post here and repost in reply to your Welcome.  Grin

I've only been here 5 mins and there's confusion already.  Grin

Thanks for the welcome.

Are you aware there appears to be a phpbb button here.
Don't know if it means people can choose between that and sm.

I haven't clicked it yet to find out.  :Smiley

Hi Kenneth welcome so glad you joined up with us here! I was just trying to figure out how to put up the wave file of the cute colt video that you sent me under the horse picture category.

Hi Carer, I missed your above post before I wasn't ignoring you.  Grin I hadn't noticed that button before so I clicked on it and it took me to the www.PHP.net web site. I don't think php is the same thing as phpbb. I think php is just what they call the language that talks to the computer and tells it what to do. Where as phpbb is a certain script used for bulletin boards. I'm just guessing though....... maybe we will get lucky and have a computer expert join up to keep us straightened out on these things.

Here is a snip from the site.

What is PHP?
PHP is a widely-used general-purpose scripting language that is especially suited for Web development and can be embedded into HTML.

Looks like a good place for me to do a little reading up.

Do you have any idea what the little paper and pencile is for on the left side of every post? I click on it and it says "loading" inside a green band that never seems to load anything....  Huh?

Good Morning Folks on this my first post here.

At the outset I must say that Kenneth and I are Siamese Twins, consequently appearing in forums together but managing to 'turn the other cheek.'   How he came to be so much older than me; so talented in contrast to me I do not know.  But we plod on, and survive.

I truth I hope I have something to offer this site in some small way, and look forward to meeting you all in the fullness of time.  Meanwhile the dogs must be taken for their walk

I can't see a paper and pencil on the left of the posts here, but I have one bottom right of
all my posts. This is an 'edit' symbol. You seem to have two options to click on to edit
your own posts.

Welcome Frank, I must say you and Kenneth look very dashing in your uniforms. I loved seeing my husband in his Navy uniform but he was on a destroyer The Davis from 1969-1973. After all that time at sea it took me 19 years to talk him into taking me on a cruise ship. Once he found out the accommodations were a lot better then the ones he had memories of we went again the next year.

Very glad to have you here and I'm looking forward to hearing about your dogs. I love all animals but I have a very special place in my heart for dogs.

Are you retired now Ken, or are you still enjoying life on the ocean waves. Good photograph. What liner were you on when the photo taken? And were you once in the navy?  One of my first boyfriends went into the navy and I often wonder how he went on. He enjoyed the first couple of years. But we lost touch when I became engaged.  Grin
