Here is an interesting article about Strange Maps. It starts out with a mural that may be the world's oldest city map or primitive abstract art. It continues with a map that shows California as an island that was inhabited by an Amazon group of women. Next we see a fantasy map rendition of the North Pole with a large magnetic black stone in the center. A map of Utopia, which means "no place" literally in Greek, is the subject of the next map. Follow the above links to find nine strange maps that is sure to give you a new perspective on how we can view maps and how we can use them.
