A question has come up from our newest member. She was concerned about her email address being public when she had checked that she wanted it private. I didn't know the answer as to why her email was showing up on her profile when she checked it. I asked my good friends Don and Carer if they knew what the problem was. Don said that it was only showing up to you when you check your own profile and is not showing up to the public even though you can see it yourself. Carer said the same but also did some experimenting with her own email and noticed that when it is checked marked private it will show up in your own profile in italics. So when you look at your profile and see your address in italics then you know that it is not available to the public. Many thanks to Don and Carer for helping me figure out this problem. And thanks to Pr8zYah for bringing up this question, so that we could get it figured out in case anyone else had this as a concern.

Love Karen

Here is how it will look to you. The difference is very hard to notice.

someone@someplace.com ----public
someone@someplace.com ---privite

Pleased that one got sorted Karen  Grin

It's a great idea to have this post above too so it puts people's mind at rest.  Cheesy

Can I also mention something to do with PM's ?

It took me a little while to figure out why I didn't have copys of my
'Sent' messages in my outbox.

Then I noticed the little box beneath the message that says:
'Save Copy to my 'outbox'. You have to checkmark this to get the copy.

Thought I'd post this here in case anyone else sends PMs while 'apparently' half asleep. Grin

Yep Sarah, I do too! I wish I was a lot faster at getting things done.

----------------------------------------------------------------------------

How to change your time so that it is the correct time for your area.

Here is what you need to do to fix your time.

Open you profile scroll down to where you see Timezone: on the left then there is a drop down box to the right of that inside the box it says GMT click on the arrow and you will see a list

GMT
GMT-1 hours
GMT-2 hours
GMT-3 hours

ect.........

I am on Eastern time so mine is GMT-5 hours

If your time is 6 hours off ( CST ) you must need to put your at GMT-6 hours

then scroll down and hit the submit button and it will make the board show the right time for you
