Oh Kenneth that is just precious. The different tones in their voices talking back and forth then the one giving the other one a bath..... makes me think they must of been taking about how great it was to get a bath and boy they sure would like a bath, and talk and talk it over then end up with the one saying oh ok I'll give you a bath first....... it is just so sweet! I love it!

What a great picture! Koko was beautiful. Could he talk? We had a cockatoo named Joe. I made a tape to play for him while we were at work. Had people say they came over and heard us talking but we didn't answer the door. He never did learn to talk, we had him about 3 years in our old house and he did fine. But he never did do well after we moved. I think he got pneumonia, and I have thought since then that he must of got too much draft where we kept thim... we had him in the kitchen beside the sliding glass doors out onto the deck... there is a heater right there too but we had electric heat for when it was too cold for the heat pump to work... never did keep the house warm enough... then we switched to propane. The price of it has gone way up since then... And we got a couple of Canaries and put them in the living room. They didn't do well either... so we just fed the outside birds and gave up on them. We had dogs too, and spent more time with them.

No, Koko never learned to talk. She did bite very well though. To the point where if I was away the boys always wore work gloves to feed her, just to save their fingers from geting seriously lacerated.
I have two budgies now, and one of them does talk. Not as much as he used to though, because there now that I'm alone in the house with a deaf/blind/lame dog, there aren't as many voices. So mostly they make bird sounds mimicking the birds outside.
