Ingredients For Miracles
The need for miracles is something that we all will come to need at some point in ours lives. Even if you don't need a miracle in your personal life, someone in your family needs a miracle from God. I remember a time in my life when the Lord spoke in my heart to go and visit one of my relatives. I was hesitant at first but I finally went to visit this relative. When I arrived I was told that the daughter of my relative had given birth to a baby boy the day before. I was told that the baby was born addicted to crack cocaine. I immediately rebuked that drug spirit and prayed the prayer of faith and God delivered that baby of that addiction right on the spot. I did not need a miracle but one of my relatives did and God provided the miracle.
Let us go to the word of God and receive some ingredients for the miracle that we will need at some point in our lives. In the book of Judges 6:11-14 we read about a man named Gideon. The angel of the Lord came to visit Gideon as he treshed wheat under an oak tree to hide it from his enemies the Midianites. The angel of the Lord appeared unto Gideon and said to him, the Lord is with you, you mighty man of valor. The first ingredient for any miracle is God.{ Jesus has promised , I will never leave you nor will I forsake you} The angel of the Lord told Gideon that the Lord was with him. Gideon has the first ingredient for his miracle. The Angel called Gideon a might man of valor. The name Gideon means, Warrior. Here we have a warrior, a mighty man of valor threshing wheat to hide it from his enemies. It looks like Gideon has lost his identity. He does not know is place in the Kingdome of God.
Have you lost your identity? We are called Christians. The word Christian comes from the word Christ, which means, The Anointed One. Jesus the Christ is The Anointed One and He was and is full of miracles. The word Christian means {an anointed one} and we should be full of miracles also. The next ingredient for a miracle is to know your place in the Kingdome of God. In the Gospel of Saint Mark 9:38-40 The disciples tells Jesus about a man that was casting out devils but was not one of them, he did not follow their group, he was not on of the twelve Apostles. Because he was not one of the twelve Apostles, John and the others rebuked the man. The man was not an apostle, not a prophet, not even a preacher, yet he had the power to cast out demons. All you need to operate in the miraculous is to be a Christian, an anointed one.
The people that we read in the bible were just ordinary people just like you and I. The only difference is that they had a different mind set than we have. Let me prove it to you. If we look in the bible in Acts 9:36-41 we read about a woman by the name of Dorcas. A disciple of the Lord full of good works and acts of charity. She became ill and died. Immediately the Saints sent for Peter, asking him to come without delay. Why did they send for a preacher and not the undertaken? Because they expected a miracle. These people expected miracles to happen in their lives. Miracles were an every day occurrence in their lives because they expected them. We serve the same God, filled with the same Spirit, serve the same Savior. The only difference is our mind set.
If we look at Saint John 9:1-7 As Jesus was passing by, He saw a man which was blind from his birth. The disciples ask Him who had sinned. Jesus replied that no one had sinned but that the glory of God should be made manifested. Your miracle glorifies God. Jesus spat on the ground, made spittle of the clay, anointed the man's eyes, told him to go to the pool and wash. The bible says as Jesus passed by He saw the man in need of a miracle. Jesus saw my relatives in need of a miracle and He sent me to them that they may have it. Jesus sees your need for a miracle. Jesus told the man to go to the pool and wash. Jesus may call upon you to be a part in your own miracle, he gave the blind man a part to play, go to the pool. The man had to go to the pool still blind and with the mud on his eyes. The bible says that he came back seeming, but he had to get there still blind and with the mud on his eyes. There may be some struggles in receiving your miracle. Are you willing to struggle a little to get your miracle? You have all the ingredients for miracles Go and posses them.
